The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday closed off the northern entrances to al-Khalil province in the southern West Bank to secure a road bicycle race held on the occasion of Israel’s occupation of east Jerusalem.
According to local sources the Israeli army sealed off the Hawar al-Nabi Youssef and Beit Einoun access roads. The closure is to be maintained until 02:00 p.m. pending the wrapping up of the race.
Israeli settlers residing in settlements built on Palestinian land south and north of al-Khalil have joined the cycling race on way to Occupied Jerusalem.
