The Israeli occupation army has notified UN organizations and the Palestinian education ministry of its intent to bomb al-Buraq and al-Aqsa Schools near the Palestine Mosque in the west of Gaza City.
The government press office in Gaza condemned on Monday Israel’s declaration of its intent to bomb two Palestinian schools in Gaza as “a new crime” pointing out that al-Buraq and al-Aqsa Schools are among the centers designated as civilian shelters by international organizations.
The government press office said that such intent means an increase in Israel’s disregard for the bombardment of civilian structures that are protected by the international law calling on the competent international institutions to shoulder their responsibilities in this regard and protect these two schools.
In a related context the Palestinian education ministry said that Israel’s current aggression against Gaza claimed the lives of 20 grade school students adding those students attended schools run by UNRWA the government and the private sector.
