The Israeli municipality in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday announced a plan to build a new settler neighborhood in the southeast of the holy city.
Chief of the municipality Moshe Lion said that the plan includes the construction of 296 settler homes near the Pat junction area which is not far from the east Jerusalem town of Beit Safafa.
Lion added that the new neighborhood would be built along the light rail route in the area and would help decrease the housing crisis in the city.
