The Israeli authorities on Monday demolished all the crude homes and tents in the Palestinian Bedouin village of Araqib in the Negev desert for the 157th consecutive time displacing its residents.
In recent months Israeli police forces and employees from the Bedouin development authority stormed the village many times and forcibly removed the residents from their homes before wreaking havoc on everything.
The Israeli authorities persecute the Araqib residents almost every day. Last week the police arrested an elderly woman and other citizens and summoned many children and teenagers for interrogation.
A few days ago the district court in Beersheba ordered the Araqib villagers to pay 1600000 shekels to cover the costs of demolitions.
