The Israeli authorities demolished on Thursday cattle barns and dozens of agricultural structures in Akbara village near Safed City in the Galilee region (1948 occupied Palestine).
About 500 Palestinian citizens live in Akbara village and they rely mainly on livestock and crop farming as their main source of livelihood.
A local official said that the Israeli municipality demolished barns with its contents adding the barns sheltered hundreds of sheep and cows which were released to nearby mountainous areas.
He pointed out that the farmers who owned those structures incurred millions of shekels in losses as a result of the demolitions.
