Israeli occupation authorities have removed overnight the security installations from entrances to al-Aqsa Mosque after protests and deadly unrest in recent days.
According to the PIC reporter newly installed railings gates and scaffolding where cameras were previously mounted were removed from the entrance to the compound.
Palestinians gathered at the entrances to celebrate their victory over Israeli security measures.
Al-Aqsa preacher Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani stressed that worshipers will continue praying in the streets till the complete end of all Israeli measures.
“Things must first be verified by a special committee before our entry” he added.
For his part Sheikh Mohammad Hussein the Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine called on Palestinian worshipers to wait till the removal of all Israeli security installations.
Israeli TV Channel 2 affirmed that Israeli police started removing the newly-installed scaffolding which were placed after the removal of metal detectors from the entrance.
