Israel renews travel ban on Abdul-Latif Ghaith

Sunday 27-August-2017

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has recently renewed the travel ban imposed on Abdul-Latif Ghaith a noted Jerusalemite figure.

Ghaith head of the Addameer Association for Prisoner Support and Human Rights has been banned from travel since 2012.

An Informed source told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli minister of interior Aryeh Deri issued an order extending the travel ban on Ghaith.

The last travel prohibition against Ghaith started on March 31 2017 and the new one will last for one month starting from August 24 2017 to September 24 2017. Deri also threatened to extend the ban for six more months.

Deri claimed that Ghaith is still an active member of the banned Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and in contact with its leaders abroad so his departure for other countries would contribute to strengthening the objectives of his organization and thus harm Israel’s security.
