The Palestinian National Committee Against the Wall and Settlement on Sunday filed an objection with Israel’s Supreme Court protesting the Israeli government’s confiscation of 1200 dunums of Palestinian-owned land near Bethlehem.
Head of the committee in Bethlehem Hasan Breijiyyeh said in press statements that the Israeli government had seized Palestinian lands covering an area of 1200 dunums to establish a new settler outpost.
Breijiyyeh added that the Israeli Peace Now movement is set to file a lawsuit against the Israeli government on Sunday to return the lands to their Palestinian owners who have official documents proving their ownership rights.
