Israel to tighten noose on injured civilians from war-ragged Syria

Sunday 24-June-2018

The Israeli army’s chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot has given instructions to trim down the number of injured persons from Syria admitted for treatment at Israeli hospitals.

The Hebrew-speaking Channel 7 said Eizenkot ordered one week earlier a tougher control on the admission of injured patients from Syria allegedly lest the Iranian intelligence takes advantage of the phenomenon to dispatch secret allies to Israel.

According to the same source the Israeli army has increasingly raised concerns over undisclosed intents by Iran and Hezbollah to exploit medical referrals from Syria for intelligence and security purposes.
