NAZARETH (PIC)– The Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni is officially scheduled to visit the Jordanian capital Amman on Sunday for a discussion with her Jordanian counterpart Abdul Ilah Al-Khatib on releasing Jordanian prisoners and on the Arab peace initiative.
Hebrew media sources mentioned that among the topics that would be discussed between the two sides is the possibility of releasing Jordanian prisoners held by the Hebrew state in addition to the likelihood of the Israeli participation in the “joint work groups with some moderate Arab countries to discuss the Arab peace initiative”.
On the other hand Israeli parliament speaker Dalia Itzik is also expected to pay an official visit to Amman at the end of this week at the official invitation of the Jordanian King Abdullah II.
She will be accompanied during this visit by the chairman of the parliamentary security and foreign affairs committee Tsahi Hanegby and a number of the committee members according to the Hebrew media.
The Israeli official’s visits would be preceded by visits by a number of Palestinian political figures in addition to American political delegations to the Kingdom to meet with King Abdullah.
