The Israeli occupation army on Thursday seized and bulldozed a vast tract of Palestinian land in Asira al-Qibliya town south of Nablus in order to expand a nearby military base.
Chief of the town Hafed Saleh said that Israeli bulldozers belonging to the army embarked on leveling about five and a half dunums of land in the southern area of the town.
Saleh noted that the military base which was established in 2014 in the area had seen an expansion in 2018.
He added that he received a written decision issued by the Israeli army stating its intent to extend its presence on the seized lands until 2021.
