The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening closed off the main access roads to the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil.
A PIC news correspondent said Israeli border cops set up a military checkpoint at the northern entrance to Halhoul town blocking Palestinians’ access out of and into the area.
The Israeli forces also sealed off the thoroughfares leading to al-Nabi Younes Wadi Aboun Sadat al-Fahs and Dura among other areas in al-Khalil.
The occupation army further blocked Palestinians’ access into al-Fawar refugee camp and cordoned off the northern entrance to al-Arroub refugee camp.
At the same time Israeli army troops showed up on the access roads to Yatta.
Hebrew-speaking news outlets said the Israeli army declared al-Khalil province a closed military zone in the hunt for a Palestinian who will carry out an alleged resistance operation.
