The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday issued a military edict giving itself the right to take over Palestinian-owned lands and property in al-Khalil city.
According to local sources the Israeli army distributed maps showing the seized areas marked in red and containing a military announcement of its decision to appropriate Palestinian property in al-Khalil city.
Palestinian activist Issa Amr head of Youth Against Settlements stated that “the military verdict targets 17 areas in Tel Rumeida neighborhood ash-Shuhada street and the vicinity of Kiryat Arba settlement — in the Israeli-administered area of al-Khalil’s city center known as H2 according to Oslo accords.”
“The targeted lands are three dunums and 807 square meters and located in a very important area of the central al-Khalil city” Amr added.
Meanwhile a Palestinian citizen received an Israeli military notice ordering him to stop reclaiming his agricultural land in Birin village in Masafer Yatta area south of al-Khalil with no known reason.
