The Israeli occupation army uprooted hundreds of olive trees and bulldozed vast tracts of land on Monday in Qarawat Bani Hassan town west of Salfit province.
According to local sources bulldozers escorted by Israeli soldiers uprooted about 2000 olive trees and destroyed 150 dunums of cultivated land as well as agricultural stone walls in Qarawat Bani Hassan.
The Israeli occupation forces also blocked the roads leading to the town’s eastern area and barred local farmers from reaching their lands during the bulldozing operation.
The Israeli army seeks to annex swaths of Palestinian-owned land in the town at the pretext they are state land with the aim of expanding settlements or carrying out projects for Jewish settlers according to local officials.
