Six Israeli armored bulldozers (D9) on Thursday morning infiltrated into a border area in southeastern Gaza and embarked on leveling and digging land.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the armored bulldozers carried out a limited incursion into Khuza’a town east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza where a fence of barbed wire was recently deployed as part of Israeli military moves to confront the march of return to be staged at the end of the current month.
He added that the bulldozers carried out leveling and digging activities in agricultural plots of land while tanks were seen in a nearby area protecting them.
This was the fifth incursion into the eastern border areas of Gaza within two days according to the PIC in Gaza.
The Israeli occupation army started three days ago to deploy more barbed wire along the eastern borderline of Gaza in preparation for the major march of return slated for March 30.
According to Israel’s Channel 13 the army plans to deploy several tanks near the border fence with Gaza in order to deter the upcoming protests affirming that there were instructions to fire shells in open areas as an act of deterrence and dispersion.
