The Israeli occupation army demolished on Wednesday morning a Palestinian house in al-Khader town south of Bethlehem at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to different Palestinian news outlets Israeli bulldozers escorted by soldiers stormed Batn al-Masi area in the town and knocked down a house belonging to a local resident.
The Israeli army escalated its demolition campaign recently in al-Khader town destroying multiple homes and structures and delivering stop-work orders against others.
According to a new report covering Israeli violations during the period of October 25 – November 7 the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the Israeli authorities demolished confiscated or forced people to demolish 54 structures in East Jerusalem and Area C of the West Bank citing the lack of Israeli-issued building permits.
Seven of the demolished structures had been provided as donor-funded humanitarian aid the report pointed out.
The Israeli demolitions displaced 35 people including 16 children and affected the livelihoods of about 200 others according to the report.
