The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday morning seized and bulldozed an agricultural road connecting Palestinian areas in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
According to local sources the Israeli army destroyed the agricultural road between Yatta town and Khallet ed-Dabaa hamlet in Masafer Yatta as a prelude to annexing more Palestinian lands in the area in order to carry out projects for Jewish settlers.
The Israeli army had notified local officials of its intent to bulldoze and take over the area where the road is located about one week ago.
Meanwhile Israeli surveyors from the Israeli army’s civil administration embarked in the morning on mapping the land of Khirbet Hamma hamlet and its surrounding area in the northern Jordan Valley with no known reason.
It was not the first time the Israeli army carried out such activity in the region.
The Jordan Valley makes up 30 percent of the occupied West Bank and constitutes half of its agricultural land.
According to B’Tselem the valley is home to 65000 Palestinians and 11000 illegal Israeli settlers.
