Israeli army razes two homes displaces families in eastern Ramallah

The Israeli occupation army displaced on Wednesday morning two families after demolishing their homes in a Bedouin community in the Ein Samiya area east of Ramallah.

According to local sources employees from the Israeli army’s civil administration and soldiers stormed the area and embarked on demolishing two homes belonging to Hasan Kaabneh and Najeh Kaabneh.

Two families of 17 individuals including children were rendered homeless as a result of the Israeli measure.

In a recent report covering Israeli violations between August 30 and September 4 2022 the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the Israeli authorities demolished or seized 44 Palestinian structures including homes during two weeks in the occupied territories of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In a separate incident the Israeli authorities demolished on the same day a Palestinian home in Buqei’a village in the Negev desert for the second consecutive time at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The homeowner Salem Abu Asida said that Israeli municipal employees and police forces bulldozed his house detonated water containers and threw his stored wheat grains on the ground.

Abu Asida added that the Israeli measure displaced 13 individuals of his family including one with special needs.
