The Israeli occupation army has expressed fears that the shooting operations that are carried out by the Palestinian resistance against Israeli targets may continue and increase during the current year.
The army radio quoted a military source from the central command office as saying that the Palestinian shooting operations in the West Bank might escalate in 2017.
He admitted that the Israeli army and security agencies failed to reduce attacks against Israelis despite their recent efforts to prevent them from happening in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority security forces.
However he affirmed that the Israeli military and security authorities managed to discover and close 34 workshops for manufacturing weapons in the West Bank and Jerusalem and confiscating 450 types of guns within one and a half years.
