The Israeli occupation army claimed that a Palestinian young man tried on Wednesday morning to stab a Jewish settler in southern Nablus.
According to the Hebrew media a young man holding a knife tried to stab a settler at the junction of the illegal Yitzhar settlement but the latter managed to avoid getting stabbed and flee the area.
The young man reportedly walked away towards Huwara town in southern Nablus.
Later the Israeli army launched a manhunt for the young man and blocked entrances to Palestinian villages in the area.
The incident came amid growing Israeli terrorism against the Palestinians in the West Bank where Jewish settlers and soldiers intensified their attacks against local residents and their property in recent months.
