Israeli army sets up roadblock leading to town in Nablus

Sunday 18-December-2016

The Israeli army on Saturday afternoon set up a makeshift checkpoint at the main entrance to Beit Dajan town east of Nablus and obstructed the movement of citizens.

Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that soldiers were stopping passing cars and checking the IDs of Palestinian citizens before allowing them to leave or enter the town.

The main entrance to the town is repeatedly closed by the Israeli army sometimes with mounds of dirt and rocks or concrete blocks.

Every once in a while the army also closes Beit Furik crossing near the town and restricts movement of Palestinians and their vehicles.
