The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday enforced a tough cordon on Janata village east of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
Head of Bethlehem’s anti-settlement committee Hasan Brijiya said the Israeli army had set up an iron gate at the main thoroughfare to Janata blocking Palestinians’ access out of and into the area.
According to Brijiya the move makes part of Israeli crackdowns and collective punishment policies pursued against the natives of Janata town home to 7000 Palestinians.
