The Israeli occupation army on Monday notified Palestinian citizens of its intent to demolish 18 homes belonging to them in Umm al-Khair village in Masafer Yatta area south of al-Khalil.
Local official Fuaad Ammour said the homes belong to the families of al-Hadaleen al-Masri al-Tabna and al-Faqeer adding that the Israeli army justified its intended demolition measure by claiming that the homes were built with no license.
In a similar incident last week the Israeli army delivered demolition notices against eight homes in Masafer Yatta.
As other places of the occupied territories the Palestinian citizens in Masafer Yatta villages suffer from repressive measures at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces including physical assaults arrests and demolition campaigns that target their homes farmlands and different types of property.
