The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday notified several Palestinian citizens of its intent to demolish their homes soon in as-Sawiya village south of Nablus.
Local official Ghassan Daghlas said that Israeli forces stormed the village and delivered demolition notices against 25 homes belonging to local residents.
The owners have been given 45 days to evacuate their homes before Israeli bulldozers come to carry out the demolition measure according to Daghlas.
The Israeli army justified the intended measure by claiming that the houses are located in Area C of the West Bank which is under Israel’s military control.
About two weeks ago the Israeli army delivered demolition notices against 20 homes and a Mosque in Rujeib village in eastern Nablus at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
