Israeli army threatens to raze two unfinished homes in Jenin

The Israeli occupation army on Saturday notified Palestinian citizens in Khirbet Umm al-Rayhan hamlet in the southwest of Jenin of its intent to demolish two homes under construction.

Head of the village council Majdi Zaid said that Israeli forces stormed the hamlet and handed two brothers called Jihad and Ali Zaid a written ultimatum ordering the demolition of their homes at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The Israeli army gave the brothers 96 hours to file an objection against the measure.

According to the village council chief he and the owners started immediately to take legal steps to prevent the demolition of these homes.

Umm al-Rayhan is one of the small villages in the southwest of Jenin and it is administratively part of Ya’bad town. 500 people lives in the hamlet.
