The Israeli occupation army on Monday notified Palestinian citizens of intent to demolish eight homes and one agricultural structure in Duma village south of Nablus.
Local official Ghassan Daghlas said that the homes and the structure belong to different residents of the village adding that the Israeli army justified its intended measure by claiming they were unlicensed.
In a separate incident the Israeli police in Jerusalem demolished the monument of martyr Majdi al-Maslamani in Wadi al-Damm in Beit Hanina town.
According to local sources police forces stormed the neighborhood and destroyed the martyr’s memorial structure which was built many years ago to commemorate him.
Maslamani was killed by Israeli gunfire during the second Palestinian intifada (uprising) on October 6 2000 in Bab al-Abat area in the Old City of Jerusalem.
