Israel’s Jerusalem municipality crews accompanied by armed forces on Tuesday demolished a sit-in tent installed by the Palestinian families of Silwan in Jerusalem in protest at the house demolition orders they received.
The Israeli municipality on Monday issued an order threatening to demolish the protest tent within a few hours.
Dozens of Palestinian families in Yasul neighborhood in Silwan are threatened with forcible displacement as the Israeli authorities are planning to demolish their homes for allegedly being unlicensed.
