The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Thursday extended the detention of a Palestinian instructor from Occupied Jerusalem.
Lawyer Khaled Zabarqa said the Israeli Magistrate’s Court extended the remand of Khadija Khweis until September 10 under the pretext of underway investigation procedures.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested Khweis on claims of her affiliations with an outlawed organization.
On Wednesday evening the Israeli intelligence summoned the instructor to questioning at Oz detention center and extended her remand pending a court hearing.
Instructor Khweis has been arrested by the Israeli occupation forces on several earlier occasions. She had also been banned from al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem’s old city. The occupation authorities further prevented her children from insurance allowances.
At the same time Khweis’s name appears on a blacklist of women banned by the Israeli forces from praying at al-Aqsa Mosque.
