Israeli authorities raze Palestinian home in Lod

Sunday 31-October-2021

The Israeli authorities on Sunday morning demolished a Palestinian house in Lod City in central Israel (1948 occupied Palestine) at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

According to Arab 48 website the house which was located in al-Muhatta neighborhood in the city belonged to a local resident called Ibrahim at-Turi.

In a separate incident the Israeli authorities on Friday forced a Palestinian citizen to demolish his own house in Qalansuwa City in central Israel.

According to local sources the homeowner had to comply with the demolition order to avoid paying penalties and demolition expenses to the Israeli authorities if their crews came and carried out the measure.

Zaher Tayeh who owned the house had made several attempts to have his house licensed but his efforts were to no avail.

Last Thursday the Israeli authorities demolished all the tents and structures in the Palestinian Bedouin village of Araqib in the Negev desert for the 194th consecutive time displacing its residents.
