The Israeli authorities demolished on Wednesday two Palestinian houses in Lod City in Israel (1948 occupied Palestine) at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to Arab48 website bulldozers embarked on demolishing two homes belonging to the family of Shawahna after Israeli police forces cordoned off the area in the morning.
Eyewitnesses said that police forces assaulted a number of citizens from the family as they tried to prevent the demolition measure.
Palestinian sources from Lod warned that the demolition of these two homes could be an indicator of Israeli intents to launch a large-scale demolition campaign soon against Palestinian homes in the Arab areas.
