Israeli authorities raze two Palestinian homes in Umm al-Fahm

Wednesday 16-March-2022

The Israeli authorities demolished on Tuesday two Palestinian homes in Umm al-Fahm City north of 1948 occupied Palestine at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

Local sources told Quds Press that Israeli bulldozers escorted by police forces stormed al-Hariqa area in Umm al-Fahm and knocked down two homes under construction.

It is not easy for the Palestinians in Israel to obtain building permits so many of them find themselves forced to expand or build unlicensed homes and structures.

In a separate incident the Israeli occupation army notified on the same day Palestinian citizens of its intent to demolish seven homes belonging to them in ad-Duyuk at-Tahta village west of Jericho.

Local sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed the village and delivered demolition notices claiming that the homes were built on lands belonging to the Israeli government.

A few days ago 20 families in the same village received similar demolition orders against their homes.
