A large number of Israeli police forces at dawn Friday stormed Hizma town east of Jerusalem patrolled its streets and alleys and intercepted cars.
Local sources said that soldiers from the border police stormed aboard vehicles different areas of the town stopped cars and checked IDs of passengers.
They added that soldiers fired volleys of tear gas grenades with no known reason in the eastern district of the town causing several citizens to suffer from inhaling the resultant fumes.
There is still no information if the police forces made arrests during their campaign in the town.
