Israeli bulldozers demolish Palestinian house in O. J’lem

Wednesday 14-February-2018

Israeli municipal crews along with a number of bulldozers stormed on Wednesday Beit Safafa village to the south of occupied Jerusalem.

According to Quds Press the municipal crews started demolishing a local house belonging to the citizen Awad Zawahra for allegedly being built without Israeli permit.

Since 1967 Israel’s stated goal in Jerusalem is to maintain a Jewish demographic majority in the city. Towards this end Israel has introduced a series of discriminatory policies that specifically target Palestinian residents living in occupied Jerusalem.

These policies are designed to reduce the size of the Palestinian population living in the occupied city and facilitate Israeli settlement expansion.

These policies resulted in population displacement through expulsions and home demolition.

Israeli bulldozers demolish Palestinian house in O. J’lem

Wednesday 1-March-2017

Israeli bulldozers demolished Wednesday morning a Palestinian-owned house in Issawiya town in occupied Jerusalem for being allegedly built without permit.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that Israeli police forces stormed in large numbers the town at dawn and imposed tight military restrictions throughout the area.

The house’s owners were forcibly evacuated before Israeli bulldozers started the demolition process.

Large numbers of Palestinian houses were demolished in occupied Jerusalem since the beginning of 2017 under the same pretext while Jewish settlement construction has notably escalated throughout the occupied city.
