Israeli bulldozers on Tuesday morning leveled Palestinian cultivated lands north of Kafr al-Dik town in Salfit province in favor of illegal settlement construction.
According to eyewitnesses Israeli bulldozers leveled Palestinian cultivated lands and archaeological sites near Deir Sam’an village paving the way for the establishment of a new bypass road for Israelis residing in the nearby illegal settlement outpost of Leshem.
Palestinian farmer Mahmoud al-Dik said the Israeli forces and settlers have ceaselessly attempted to grab Kafr al-Dik’s northern lands for illegal settlement expansion.
He added that 1/3 of Kafr al-Dik lands have either been confiscated or threatened with confiscation. Other land lots in the town fall under the Area C Category which means Palestinian construction activity in the area is outlawed without prior Israeli permit.
