Israeli vehicles razed 37 trees on Monday evening after storming Beit Furik town east of the West Bank city of Nablus.

“The Israeli bulldozers destroyed 37 trees in the Khirbet Tana neighborhood east of Beit Furik town” coordinator for National Defense for Khirbet Tana Thaer Hanani said in a press statement.

Hanani underlined that the Israeli bulldozers demolished the barbed wire of a mosque in Khirbet Tana neighborhood adding that the bulldozers razed walls of Palestinian homes in the neighborhood whose ceilings had been demolished.

He added that Palestinian citizens in Khirbet Tana have been intensifying their presence in the mosque to protect it against the Israeli settlement expansion plans.

In November 2022 Palestinian citizens in Khirbet Tana launched a campaign that aims at remembering the Palestinian martyrs of Beit Furik who have been killed since Nakba by planting 168 trees bearing the martyrs’ names.
