Israeli bulldozers on Tuesday morning uprooted Palestinian olive trees and saplings near Deir Ballut town west of Salfit province in the occupied West Bank.
Local villagers said the Israeli bulldozing activities in their area are aimed at establishing infrastructure to expand the illegal settlements in Salfit and Ramallah.
According to the villagers the destroyed olive grove is located in Wadi al-Khor area of Deir Ballut which is currently exposed to widespread settlement expansion especially on the eastern side of the town.
A few days ago Israeli bulldozers belonging to Leshem settlement destroyed vast tracts of agricultural and grazing land north of Kafr ad-Dik town in Salfit.
The bulldozers also razed a piece of land containing ancient remains near the archaeological village of Deir Samaan in order to build new housing units for Leshem settlers.
