Israeli cabinet decides to intensify assassination against resistance cadres

NAZARETH (PIC)– The Israeli cabinet has decided to intensify military operations against the Palestinians particularly the assassination of leaders and members of Palestinian resistance factions.

Binyamin Ben-Eliezer the minister of infrastructure and former minister of war said the government decided to escalate assassinations against leaders and members of the Palestinian resistance expressing his belief that this measure could reduce the effects of Palestinian resistance rockets.

For his part Yitzhak Herzog the social affairs minister said “The government discussed for hours the complexity of the security situation in the Gaza Strip and its repercussions”. He also stated that his government was trying to stop arms smuggling from the Egyptian Sinai peninsula into Gaza.

On the other hand Amir Peretz the minister of war alleged that any ground incursion into Gaza would be the last option the Israeli government might resort to.

The Israel vice-prime minister and the minister of trade also leader of the extremist “Shas” party Eli Yishai called for the implementation of what he called “limited surgical operations” targeting civilian and military infrastructure of the Palestinian resistance factions.
