An Israeli court ordered on Thursday five Palestinian youths from occupied Jerusalem to stay away from the city and its holy al-Aqsa Mosque for one month as a precondition for their release from Israeli custody.
Head of the Committee of Jerusalemite Prisoners’ Families Amjad Asab said the Israeli magistrate court west of Occupied Jerusalem ruled that Udai Gheith Mohammad Gheith Majdi Abbasi Ali Abu Diab and Alaa Abu Tayeh be banned from the city and al-Aqsa Mosque for one month and pay a fine of 1000 shekels ($280) each as a prerequisite for their release from Israeli jails.
The five young men were arrested by Israeli police in a Monday sweep rocking Silwan town south of holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
In August over 20 Palestinians mostly women were banned from Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli police.
