Israeli court of Ashkelon jail on Saturday decided to extend the detention of the Palestinian writer Lama Khater 42 for the seventh time in a row.
Lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) Feras al-Subah said that the Israeli court renewed Khater’s remand for seven days “pending further investigation”.
The PPS said in a statement that Khater has been subjected to harsh and intensive interrogation in Ashkelon jail since her arrest on 24th July.
A mother of five children Khater has rejected all charges leveled against her by the Israeli occupation authorities.
