Israeli court holds gov’t responsible for murder of Palestinian girl

 OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Jerusalem District Court ruled that Israel is responsible for the shooting of a 10-year-old Palestinian girl in the town of Anata north Jerusalem three years ago Israeli radio reported Monday.

Abir Aramin was hit by rubber bullets fired by Israeli soldiers in a manner contrary to firing regulations.

A hearing is set to be held in two months to determine the amount of damages the state must pay to Aramin’s parents.

Aramin’s father appealed to the Supreme Court to prosecute the Israeli soldiers involved in the incident after the prosecution closed the case against them because of lack of evidence.
