Israeli court indicts 7 members of Islamic Movement in Jerusalem

Friday 2-February-2018

Israeli central court in Jerusalem on Friday issued indictments against seven activists of the Islamic Movement and its charities for the charge of belonging to a banned group.

The Kan Hebrew radio said that the seven members work at Aman Association for Humans and Buildings and The Jerusalem Gardens Foundation which are affiliated with the Islamic Movement in Jerusalem.

Israeli forces arrested the seven activists in March and April 2017 and charged them of affiliation with a “terrorist” organization and the involvement in implementing 30 charity projects mostly in Occupied Jerusalem. They were released on various conditions including house arrest.

Israeli forces banned the Islamic Movement in November 2015 closed over 20 of its charities and blacklisted it as a terrorist organization.
