An Israeli court in Jerusalem on Tuesday issued sentences of actual imprisonment and fines against four Jerusalemite youths who were indicted with belonging to Al-Aqsa Mosque Youths group.
The PIC reporter said that the court sentenced the 18-year-old teen Mohammad Bakri from the Old City to 8 months and 3000-shekels fine. Two other captives Mohmmad Mustafa 19 from al-Issawiya town and Imad Abu Sneineh 22 from Wadi Qaddum neighborhood were sentenced to 14 months and a fine estimated at 5000 shekels against each of them. The fourth detainee Mohammad Ajlouni 29 from Silwan town was sentenced to 14 months and a fine of 2500 shekels.
Israeli forces have waged a large-scale arrest campaign for five months against dozens of Jerusalemite people at the pretext of belonging to Al-Aqsa Mosque Youths group which has been prohibited by Israeli authorities for confronting settlers’ incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque and its alleged affiliation with Hamas Movement.
