Israel’s Central Court on Thursday sentenced a wheel-chaired Palestinian detainee to 35 years in prison over allegations of an anti-occupation stabbing attack.
According to the Hebrew-speaking Yedioth Aharonot newspaper Palestinian detainee Aymen al-Kurd received a prison term of 35 years after the Israeli occupation authorities accused him of stabbing two policemen in 2016.
The young man allegedly carried out an anti-occupation stabbing attack near Jerusalem’s al-Sahira Gate in September 2016 wounding two Israeli cops.
The Israeli occupation forces opened fire at the young man causing him hemiplegia (partial paralysis). He has gone wheel-chaired ever since.
