Israeli Central Court in Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday sentenced the youngest Jerusalemite captive Manar al-Shobaki 16 to six years of actual imprisonment after convicting her of allegedly trying to stab an Israeli man in December 2015.
Head of Jerusalem Committee for Families of Prisoners Amjad Abu Asab told Quds Press that the minor who is held in Hasharon Israeli jail was arrested for the first time on December 06 while going out of school in Silwan town for alleged knife possession.
Israeli occupation forces however rearrested the girl on December 21 after allegedly trying to stab a man in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.
Legal sources reported that Israeli courts issue harsh sentences against Palestinian minors in response to Israeli political and security recommendations aimed at deterring youngsters from carrying out anti-occupation attacks in the occupied Palestinian territories.
