Israeli drone drops incendiary bombs on Gaza’s Awda camp

Friday 8-June-2018

Wildfires broke out after an unmanned Israeli aircraft at daybreak Friday struck the Awda camp east of Rafah province in the southern Gaza Strip with incendiary bombs.

Reporting from the field a PIC correspondent said an Israeli drone hit the Awda tents with incendiary grenades in an attempt to terrorize protesters gearing up to join Friday’s projected rallies.

Civil defense crews rushed to the scene to extinguish to fires.

The National Commission to Follow Up on the Great March of Return and Lift the Siege dubbed the attack “a criminal act” and a proof of Israel’s incessant attempts to quell the one-man million march set to be staged on Friday in solidarity with Occupied Jerusalem.

The commission said the Palestinians will keep up the mass protests calling for a large-scale participation in the pro-Jerusalem march slated to kick-start right after Friday’s noon prayers in the Awda camp.
