Israeli forces demolish Palestinian facility in O. J’lem

Israeli forces on Wednesday morning demolished a Palestinian-owned commercial facility in Silwan town to the south of occupied Jerusalem.

The facility’s renter Ezzeddin Summrien affirmed that Israeli police forces stormed his print shop before starting its demolition for allegedly being built without Israeli permit.

Two months ago Israeli authorities had issued a demolition order against the facility built in an area of about 70 square meters.

Siam family the facility’s original owner managed to stop its demolition at the time after appealing against the order.

During the raid local residents attempted to stop the demolition however; they were assaulted by the police who sprayed them with pepper and threw stun grenades at them.

At least seven people were severely beaten as the demolition was underway while several others were arrested.

Children were among the injured and three pregnant women also required medical care.
