The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday demolished a primary school in Simia area north of the southern West Bank town of al-Samou’ south of al-Khalil.
Muhannad al-Musalma Public Relations coordinator south of al-Khalil said that an Israeli bulldozer demolished “al-Tahadi 13” School without any prior notice and declared it as a closed military area.
Al-Muslma noted that the school made of seven mobile classrooms was built by the Ministry of Education with a cost of €40000 and was supposed to be opened in two days.
The Education Ministry has embarked on the construction of mobile classrooms dubbed al-Tahadi Schools to provide education for children in vulnerable communities across the West Bank Area C.
Area C which accounts for 60 percent of the West Bank has been the scene of Israeli settlement construction in violation of international law while Israel’s apartheid wall has further fragmented Palestinian communities and restricted Palestinian movement across the area.
