The Israeli occupation forces on Monday shot dead a Palestinian youth under the pretext that he attempted to carry out a stabbing attack north of the West Bank city of Salfit.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the incident took place at the crossroad of Haris town in an area between the illegal settlements of Ariel and Burqan.
Hebrew TV channel Seven said that the Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian youth identified as Elias Yasin after he attempted to carry out a stabbing attack. Yasin sustained a serious injury and died minutes later.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army’s allegations are not true and affirmed that Yasin who is a resident of Biddya town in Salfit was crossing the road normally while two soldiers were standing nearby.
The witnesses added that one of the soldiers called Yasin and without giving him a chance to respond the other soldier opened fire at him killing him instantly.
