Israeli forces launch limited incursion into Gaza attack fishermen

Tuesday 17-July-2018

Israeli military bulldozers on Tuesday morning moved dozens of meters into the southern corners of the blockaded Gaza Strip at the same time as Israeli naval forces attacked fishermen in the enclave.

Four Israeli bulldozers stationed at Kissufim military site northeast of Khan Younis moved 50 meters into Palestinian lands in eastern al-Qarara town.

The bulldozers leveled Palestinian lands along the border.

Israeli military incursions near the border fence separating Gaza from territories occupied in 1948 have long been a near-daily occurrence.

At the same time Israeli gunboats opened heavy machinegun fire on Palestinian fishermen sailing within three nautical miles off Gaza’s seashore.

Overnight Israeli occupation authorities ruled for reducing the authorized fishing zone for Gaza fishermen to three nautical miles.

The Israeli army regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen shepherds and farmers along the border areas.

In the meantime Israeli drones kept hovering over the besieged enclave at low altitudes.

Israeli forces launch limited incursion into Gaza attack fishermen

Wednesday 5-April-2017

The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday morning launched a limited incursion into northern Gaza Strip at the same time as Israeli gunboats attacked fishermen off Gaza northern coast.

According to local sources four Israeli military bulldozers moved into Palestinian lands in eastern Jabaliya. Israeli warplanes were seen flying at low altitudes over the territory.

Meanwhile Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishermen off Gaza’s northern shores.

The attacks represent another chain in the series of Israeli violations of the Cairo-brokered truce accord struck in the wake of the 2014 Israeli offensive on the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza.
