Israeli forces on Saturday evening quelled a solidarity sit-in with Palestinian hunger striking detainees that was held at Damascus gate in Occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli forces assaulted protesters and arrested four of them local sources said.
The families of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails organized a sit-in in solidarity with the hunger strikers. Israeli policemen dispersed protesters and confiscated photos of captives as the families were chanting slogans in support for the detainees.
The policemen also attacked a number of journalists who attended the solidarity event.
